Screen Printing Column (32)

~ Firm! strong! pretty! ~

Screen printing is also very useful for the uniforms worn by athletes.
Screen printing is the best way to ensure that names and bibs will not come off even if you move vigorously or wash sweat-stained uniforms repeatedly.
Why?

As I wrote in a previous column, the features of screen printing are the ability to print thickly and the ability to use a variety of inks. Uniforms used in sports must withstand human perspiration, ultraviolet rays, and laundry detergents.
For that purpose, a special adhesive must be printed thickly. Screen printing is perfect for this.
This year will be the year of the Olympics, as well as the qualifiers for the soccer World Cup. Uniforms produced by screen printing will be very active on the international stage.

Luminescent printing is the application of the same technology used for uniforms to general apparel. I'm sure you've seen it glow in the dark. It is often used for watch dials. At night, when the lights in the room are turned off, the letters are glowing.
This is because special pigments called phosphorescent pigments absorb light when exposed to light, and conversely emit light when it gets dark. The thicker the phosphorescent pigment, the more light it can absorb, so it will emit light for a longer period of time in the dark.
You can see what we mean.
Screen printing can be printed thickly, so if you print with screen printing, you can glow in the dark for a long time.
Recently, I saw children's clothes that glow in the dark. No matter how many times you wash it, it will not fall off and it will shine beautifully at night. It is durable like a uniform and shines for a long time.
I think it's just a good use of the characteristics of screen printing.

No change even after washing more than 100 times, it's a simple thing, but it's very difficult.
Screen printing can accomplish this.
