How long do you think you can print with screen printing?
Our largest lithographic screen printer is the LZ-2300STVA.
This printer can print in a size of 2.3m. Larger presses can be built, but are more difficult to transport out of the factory. Furthermore, the size of the plate exceeds 3m, and the weight is about 100kg, which makes it impossible for one person to carry. Impossible to print so easily.
But what if you round the plate? If you print while rolling the plate into a cylinder, you will be able to print forever. If we can keep printing forever, I don't think it's a dream to print around the earth.
The printing method that uses this cylindrical plate is called rotary screen printing.
The major difference from the commonly used screen printing (lithographic screen printing) is that printing is performed while rotating the plate. Therefore, endless printing is possible. The diameter of the plate is about 200 mm (LS-500NR), and the plate is light enough to be held in one hand, so the printing press can be made smaller.
Our LS-500NR printer can print a much wider area than the LZ-2300STVA. And it's early. The maximum printing speed is 6km/h! A distance of 200 km from Muikamachi to Tokyo can be printed in 33 hours.
